Departmental Vision :

Vision of the department  is to offer up-to-date and flexible programs which will allow our students to provide a hands-on-approach in Computer Science with the strong academic and technical background which are needed to achieve excellence in the discipline.

Departmental Mission :

  1. To provide an excellent education through properly designed curriculum.
  2. The learning environment must emphasizes  depth, originality and critical thinking in computer related fields.
  3. Our main task is to equip students with the  knowledge to meet ever- growing socio- economic demand of industry and society at large.
  4. Motivation to pursue higher studies will always be alive.

Programme Educational Objectives (PEOs) :

PEO 1: Successful Career

Primary objective is to prepare students with concrete base in engineering, Science and Technology for a well balanced, bright career in Computer Science and Technology.

PEO2: Adaptability with a new learning environment

To prepare students to adapt new cutting edge technologies so that they can overcome social, technical and engineering challenges.

PEO3: Keeping Pace with the Developing World

To motivate students to engage in professional development through self-study, team work and professional activities in engineering & business.

PEO4: Integration with the Society

To sensitize students with integrity towards issues of social relevance, openness to other international cultures and to introduce them to professional ethics and practice.

Programme Outcomes (POs) :

The outcome of the Programme namely,Diploma in Computer Science and Technology which form the component indicative of diploma engineer’s potential to acquire competence to practice at appropriate level, The diploma engineers in Computer Science and Technology shall have:

a) Ability to apply knowledge of Mathematics, Workshop practice, Basic Science in Computer Science and Engineering to solve real world problems.

b) Ability to analyze, design, development, test and enhance software products.

c) Ability to install system and application software.

d) Ability to troubleshoot network problems and service systems in case of failures.

e) Ability to exhibit professional and ethical responsibilities as an engineer.

f)  Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written forms.

g) Education with breadth that allows understanding the impact of Computer Science and Engineering in the societal and human context.

h) Ability to develop confidence for self-learning and ability for lifelong learning.

i)  To have the skill sets to make effective use of modern engineering tools, software equipment, and technique for engineering practice.

j)  Ability to work in multidisciplinary environments to manage projects and to succeed in competitive examinations.

k) Ability to function effectively as an individual as well as a team member or leader in a team and multidisciplinary settings.

Course Outcome (CO) :

Keeping parity with programme objectives vis-à-vis Programme Outcomes are designed such that at the end of the programme,the students graduating from the Department of Computer Science and Technology shall be able to

CO#1:Applying knowledge of mathematics, physics, chemistry and basic engineering science to analyze and develop computing system.

CO#2:Apply knowledge of Computer Science and Technology including programming and modern tools and techniques to solve engineering problem.

CO#3:Acquire an in-depth knowledge of  different programming languages ,Data Structure, Data Base Management system and Software Engineering for designing and developing application software.

CO#4: Acquire an in-depth knowledge of computer organization and architecture, Micro Processor ,Theory of Computation , System Programming and Compiler Design for developing for minor system software as per industry and institute needs.

CO#5:  Acquire knowledge of  hardware and networking by practicing  Professional Practice and studying Computer Networks to build network system.

CO#6:Design and conduct Experiment, measure, analyze and interpret  the data by studying  Electronic Devices & Circuits and Digital Logic Design .

CO#7:Identify, formulate and investigate further leading to research and solve relevant engineering problems by undertaking Project Works.

CO#8:Understand the impact of engineering solutions in a global, economic , Environmental societal context by studying Disaster Management Business Economics & Accountancy and Environmental Studies.

CO#9:Express effectively in both verbal and written forms by applying  the knowledge Development of Life Skills .

CO#10:Being Familiar with Industries and Industrial environment by applying the knowledge of Industrial Management and Software Engineering.

CO#11:To adapt technological developments from time to time doing Project works and attending Seminars.

CO#12:Working effectively in a team and excel as an individual as well as a team members and so leadership quality in working environment by undergoing different Workshops, CST Project Work.

CO#13: To understand norms of professional and ethical behaviour in engineering practice by studying  Development of Life Skills.

CO#14: Use new modern techniques and tools for solving engineering problems by different high level programming  languages .
