Departmental Vision :

To promote active learning, critical thinking and engineering judgment coupled with business and entrepreneurial skills to inculcate the attitude of service to the society to the students and to be a centre of excellence in the field of electrical engineering.

Departmental Mission :

  • To provide training to the students with skill, knowledge and create attitude to succeed as engineers and leaders

  • To develop problem solving capability in electrical engineering & technology.

  • To prepare students with the knowledge to meet ever- growing socio - economic necessity of industry and society

  • To motivate students for lifelong learning and pursue higher studies

Programme Educational Objectives (PEOs) :

PEO1: Successful career as engineers:-

Primary objective is to inculcate in students the ability of active learning, critical thinking and problem solving so that they can be successful engineers

PEO2: Continuous learning:-

To prepare students so that they can practice self-learning and be in the process of being updated in knowledge and technologies

PEO3: Entrepreneurial and managerial skills:-

To motivate students to plan, analyze, implement and review their own projects and be able to work in a group as well as a leader.

PEO4: Professional skills and societal practices:-

To build in students a sense of ethical and professional behavior and invoke in them a sense of practical yet sensible approach towards social issues

Programme Outcomes (POs) :

1Basic knowledge: An ability to apply knowledge of basic mathematics, science and engineering to solve the engineering problems.

2.Discipline knowledge: An ability to apply discipline - specific knowledge to solve core and/or applied engineering problems.

3.Experiments and practice:  An ability to plan and perform experiments and practices and to use the results to solve engineering problems.

4.Engineering Tools: Apply appropriate technologies and tools with an understanding of the limitations.

5.The engineer and society: Demonstrate knowledge to assess societal, health, safety, legal and cultural issues and the consequent responsibilities relevant to engineering practice.

6.Environment and sustainability: Understand the impact of the engineering solutions in societal and environmental contexts, and demonstrate the knowledge and need for sustainable development.

7.Ethics: Apply ethical principles and commit to professional ethics and responsibilities and norms of the engineering practice.

8.Individual and team work: Function effectively as an individual, and as a member or leader in diverse/multidisciplinary teams.

9.Communication: An ability to communicate effectively.

10.Life-long learning: Recognize the need for, and have the preparation and ability to engage in independent and life-long learning in the context of technological changes.

PROGRAM SPECIFIC OUTCOMES

PSO-1. (Engineering knowledge and analysis)

Analyze specific technological problem relevant to electrical engineering by applying knowledge of basic science, engineering mathematics and engineering fundamentals.

PSO-2. (Maintenance and technological development)

Ability to fabricate maintenance and system operation of electrical engineering devices using significant technical skills, analytical ability and uses of modern tools.

PSO-3. (Application of the knowledge on society/environment)

 Apply the acquired knowledge of electrical engineering assess societal, health ,safety ,legal and cultural issues with professional ethics and function effectively as an individual or a leader in a team to manage different projects in multidisciplinary industrial environment.
