Departmental  Vision

To achieve excellence in technical education in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering developing globally acceptable technical skill-personals and entrepreneurship, create technical manpower capable of accepting new challenges in ever changing global scenario and offering technological service to industry and society at-large.

Departmental Mission

  1. To develop competent technological professionals, through quality education and training in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering, so as to contribute in the advancement in Electronics and Telecommunication technology. 
  2.  To create technologist to accept new challenges in technology and emerge successfully in global competitive scenario.
  3.  To impart value based education which results in services and entrepreneurial initiatives towards socio- economic development and innovation of the society. 
  4.  To inculcate the awareness & thirst for life-long learning through interaction with outside world regarding the contemporary issues, technological trends and futuristic approach. 

Programme Educational Objectives (PEOs) : 

 

PEO 1. SUCCESSFUL CAREER

To acquire necessary technical knowledge to pursue successful careers, involve in technological activities and the problem solving ability required to design and development and innovative technology. These skills strongly impact on successful career in the various specializations related to Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering.

PEO 2.  ADAPTIBILITY WITH NEW LEARNING ENVIRONMENT

To develop the desire to keep learning throughout life and a passion towards modern technical engineering tools for understanding professional and ethical standards.

PEO 3. KEEPING PACE WITH DEVELOPING WORLD

To prepare the students to have professional and communication skills with the pace of  radical changing technology  by respecting diversity, professionalism and ethical practices and  to function as  members of multi-disciplinary teams in Engineering and to perform leadership role in addressing the technical issues.

PEO 4.  INTEGRATION WITH SOCIETY

To motivate students to sustain learning by developing soft skills and hard skills so as to achieve the ability to integrate the world in a constructive manner with their professional principles. 

Programme Outcomes(POs):

 Students of diploma programme  under the Department of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering will be expected and prepared to exercise the skills and abilities of Programme Outcomes from (a) to (k) are listed below:

(a)    Ability to demonstrate and express fundamental knowledge of mathematics, basic science and engineering.

(b)   Ability to apply knowledge of electrical and electronics to solve problems of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering.

(c)    Ability to identify, formulate and solve unfamiliar technical problems to industry reaching substantiated conclusions.

(d)   Ability to design and conduct experiments, analyze and interpret data and able to apply the knowledge for measurement and monitoring of electronic equipments.

(e)    Ability to design circuits and its components or process as per needs and desired specifications.

(f)    Ability to function effectively within multi disciplinary teams and understand the fundamental precepts of effective project managements.

(g)   Ability to use the techniques, skills and modern engineering tools necessary for engineering practices with appropriate considerations for public-health and safety, societal, cultural and environmental constraints.

(h)   Ability to understand professional, ethical and moral responsibility.

(i)     Ability to communicate effectively. 

(j)     Ability to understand impact of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering solutions on the society and also will be aware of modern day issues.

(k)    Ability to recognize the need for and have ability to engage in life –long learning.

Course Outcome (CO) :

Keeping parity with the Programme Outcomes, the Course Outcomes are designed in such a manner that at the end of the programme, the students passing diploma from the department of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering will be able to:

C.O.1: apply the knowledge of mathematics, physics, chemistry and basic engineering science to analyze and design the electronics and telecommunication systems.

C.O.2: apply the knowledge of basic electrical and electronics techniques including programming and use of modern tools to solve applied Engineering problems.

C.O. 3: acquire an in-depth knowledge of circuit theory, semiconductor devices, microcontroller& embedded system and apply them for efficient design of different electronics and telecommunication systems / devices.

C.O.4: acquire an in-depth knowledge of the principle of communication, microwave devices , antenna , fiber optics communication , mobile and satellite communication systems as per needs of industry and institute.

C.O.5: acquire the knowledge of measurement and control theory that can be applied to measure and control the electronics parameter and system.

C.O. 6: design and conduct experiments, measure, analyze and interpret the data.

C.O.7: identify, formulate and investigate further reading to solve the engineering problems.

C.O.8: understand the impact of engineering solution in a global, economic, environmental and social context.

C.O. 9: express effectively in both verbal and written forms.

C.O. 10: be familiar with industries and industrial working environment.

C.O.11: adapt technological developments from time to time.

C.O.12: work effectively in a multidisciplinary team and excel as an individual as well as a team member showing leadership quality in the working environment.

C.O.13: understand norms of professional and ethical behavior in engineering practices.

C.O.14: use new modern techniques and tools for application in the field of electronics and telecommunication engineering.
