Admission Policy:
A. Eligibility Criteria for Admission (in 1st year):
i) Through Counseling Quota (75% of Approved Intake)
Candidates need to apply for "Common Online Application for Admission in Polytechnics 2024", they will be given Merit Rank based on the Marks obtained in 10th Standard or equivalent examinations. Candidates will be able to appear in Counseling based on that Merit Rank. On the basis of their choices, the candidates will be allotted in different Institutions for admission.
Eligibility: Passed /appeared* Madhyamik or Class 10 Equivalent Board Examinations with Science / Physical Science and Mathematics from any recognized Board/ Council/ Institute.
*Subject to provide of original mark sheet / pass certificate at the time of admission.
Age: An applicant should not be born after 01.07.2009 for this year.
ii) Through Management Quota (Direct admission) (25% of Approved Intake)(*as per Guidelines given in last year's admission notification)
Eligibility: Passed / Appeared* 10th standard . A candidate must pass marks in all subjects as per his/her Secondary board.
*Subject to provide of original mark sheet / pass certificate at the time of admission.
a) Seats will be allotted to the candidates who have Technique Admission Test (TAT) – 2024 Rank with valid Merit Rank in "Common Online Application for Admission in Polytechnic 2024".
b) Vacant seats (if any, after counseling of TAT rank holders) will be filled by Spot-counseling:- According to the Merit Rank in "Common Online Application for Admission in Polytechnic 2024" (Candidates have to enrol their name by Pre-Admission Enrolment form available in www.techniqueedu.com or TPI enquiry counter)
Age: An applicant should not be born after 01.07.2009 for this year
SPECIAL OPPORTUNITY FOR MERITORIOUS CANDIDATES
Candidates who will secure Merit Rank within 700 in "Common Online Application for Admission in Polytechnic 2024", will get special opportunity for Admission in this Academic Year 2024-25 for a minimum Fee of Rs. 50/- per month like government polytechnics.
* 3 Seats is available in each stream under this category, i.e. total 18 seats.
* Eligible Candidates must have to apply in specific form within 2 days of publication of said Merit Rank.
SPECIAL OPPORTUNITY FOR MANAGEMENT QUOTA CANDIDATES
Candidates who have scored 75% or above marks in Aggregate(Without additional and without rounding up) in Madhyamik or Equivalent Examination in 2024 will get a scholarship of Rs.36,000/- in 3 years (Rs.6,000/- per Semester)
B. Eligibility Criteria for Admission (in 2nd year):
Through 2nd Year Counselling Quota (10% of Approved Intake):
Candidates will be allotted by West Bengal State Council of Technical & Vocational Education and Skill Development are allowed for counseling on the basis of Rank obtained in VOCLET 2024.
Eligibility: Passed / appeared* Higher Secondary or 10+2 Board Examination or H.S. (Vocational) Examination of WBSCT&VE&SD or equivalent examination with Physics/ Mathematics/ Chemistry/ Computer Science/ Electronics/ Information Technology/ Biology/ Informatics Practices/ Biotechnology/ Technical Vocational subject/ Agriculture/ Engineering Graphics/ Business Studies/ Entrepreneurship as per table 8.4 of AICTE’s Approval Process Handbook 2024-2027.
OR
Passed 10th + 2 year ITI (continuous) shall be eligible for admission to Second Year Diploma Course(s) in any branch of Engineering and Technology. Appearing ITI candidates are not eligible.* Subject to submission of pass certificate / marksheet at the time of admission in all cases.
Age: There is no age limit
Document Retention Policy
At the time of admission, all the related original documents are collected and returned to respective candidates after verification. Photocopy of the same are kept permanently for record.
